Opening ceremony will be held at the Harold Washington Library. Halo-Halo — meaning “mixed-mixed” in Tagalog — draws inspiration from the beloved Filipino dessert and symbolizes the vibrant blending of Filipino heritage with American culture. This project is a celebration of the Filipino-American experience, its traditions, its evolution in the diaspora, and its contributions to the cultural fabric of Chicago.
Anchored by a Barrio Festival-style opening ceremony at the Harold Washington Library, Halo Halo brings together visual art, performance, community storytelling, and cultural aesthetics to create a welcoming and meaningful public celebration.

Conrad Sulzer Regional Library is one of three regional libraries in the Chicago Public Library system in Chicago, in the U.S. state of Illinois. It was named for Conrad Sulzer, the first white settler in what became Lakeview Township, whose family held multiple civic posts and established a foundation.[1][2] The library is located in the Lincoln Square neighborhood at 4455 N. Lincoln Avenue. It is a full-service library and ADA compliant. As with all libraries in the Chicago Public Library system, it has free Wi-Fi internet service.
